Episode 29 - Updates

This episode is a little different than normal in that Ernesto is providing an update of how Bezel Banter is evolving, and he’s sharing what’s to come in the upcoming episodes. Ernesto shares that he’s truly enjoyed connecting with various people and influencers in the watch community, and he would like to continue to utilize Bezel Banter as a platform to collaborate with and highlight various people in our community. If you’re interested in having a conversation with Ernesto, please feel free to DM or email him.

He also talks about being in San Diego during the last week of October for work, and that he’s trying to find some time to watch the most recent James Bond film “No Time To Die” on the big screen. He’s a huge fan of the James Bond series and can’t wait to see how they highlight the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer, 42mm 007 Edition throughout the film.

Ernesto has also been receiving a couple of requests for a State of the Collection (SOTC) review. As Bezel Banter is evolving, so is Ernesto’s taste in watches, and he feels that he needs to streamline his collection prior to doing a SOTC. Episode 25 - The Evolution of Chronograph Watches…and World Peace

As many of you know, chronograph watches are not Ernesto’s forte. So in this episode, we invited a good friend of the show, Daniel @wonger.bonger. Daniel is not only a watch enthusiast who is quite passionate about vintage timepieces, but he’s also a world of knowledge when it comes to the chronograph complications and watches. Daniel and Ernesto delve into the history of chronographs, various types of chronographs, some of the more iconic chronos, and of course, some of their favorites. During their conversation, they briefly touch on the fact that chronograph movements are quite difficult to make, and it took the collaboration of numerous watch makers to make various chronograph movements. Hence the reference to “world peace”.

Daniel, thank you again for joining us and collaborating with us! It was an absolute pleasure having you as our special guest host for this episode. We look forward to the next time we can facilitate more “world peace”.
